Guide
In this guide I'll explain a few things related to the functionality of the template.
Membership
Free
Powered by stackFrame.
What it is?
Membership allows you to offer Sign Up and Log In functionality.
Step 1
Visit stackFrame, create your account and create a project. Both is free.
Step 2
Copy the Project ID and paste it into the component called AuthComponent (in the first input field called Project ID).
Step 3
Pulish your Framer site to see if the components are working.
Step 4
Find user data in your dashboard.
Important
The file FirebaseSetup.js needs to be in your Framer project under Left Side Menu > Assets > Code. If it's not there click the button below to remix the file where you can find it.
Forms
Free
Powered by Formspark.
What it is?
Forms let you collect data on your website. E.g. if you want users to provide their emails for you to collect for your next newsletter release. Form components I use can be customised like a Typeform and are very flexible. You connect a (free) service which sends you an email every time a user submitted info on your website.
Step 1
Crate a Formspark account (free for up to 250 form submissions per month).
Step 2
Create a form - inside the form copy the form URL.
Step 3
Paste URL inside the component in Framer.
Step 4
Publish your Framer site and test your form.
CMS
Free
Powered by Framer.
What it is?
CMS (content management system) is the way content in the feed (and elsewhere) is managed. You can simply create content in a Google Sheet, Airtable, Notion etc. and download it as CSV to upload into Framer CMS. This process takes a few seconds.
If you purchase this template you can access the Google Sheets I used for uploading as a template.
Step 1
Create content in (e.g.) Google Sheets.
Step 2
Download table as CSV.
Step 3
In Framer, click on CMS, create a new collection (Plus icon) and (via "Edit Fields") build the structure as your columns in the Google Sheet.
Step 4
Click "Import" and select the CSV to be imported - that's it.
